Check out my progress for the #tombraider #laracroft contest :3 Sorry for the ugly ass watermarks but I’m not taking any chances at this point in time 8D
Here’s some more works in progress. Some commissions of peoples personal characters :3 Pencil stages. These will both be digitally coloured and am really looking forward to how they are going to turn out.
I’m taking part in the #blackberry #KeepMoving project with Neil Gaimen. This is obviously still a work in progress. But hopefully I don’t botch it up last minute because I am super excited to finish this!
I have been itching to seriously get into oils again for ages. I haven’t touched them in over a year and probably haven’t taken them seriously in even more than that. So here are a couple of test pieces I started today to see how I fared.
The first is a shoddy still life of some headphones. Lesson learned: I am far too impatient to sit down and get a solid drawing down before I paint… need to work on that one.
The second is a W.I.P. portrait from the beautiful Reine-Haru.Deviantart.com stock seen here: http://reine-haru.deviantart.com/art/Princess-Stock-2-211061095 it’s not terribly accurate but i’ve never tried painting a person before with oils and I just wanted to get that scary part out the way. When the paint dries a little more I may come back and darken up more of the tones to give more contrast and depth.
Almost as soon as I uploaded the last pic I was filled with loathing that I didn’t just keep pushing myself…hence I started recolouring it the way I wanted to straight afters! Looks like it’s going to be another long digital painting piece…
Finally started working on Top Cow submission stuff. This is still a WiP but I wanted to share because I believe it’s the first time I’ve coloured a comic digitally….
I’m still arting!! Digital painting which I feel like I’ve neglected for a while. Back to photoshop too! as I’ve mainly been using Sai recently. Despite Sai being all around smoother I do love all the options and brushes photoshop gives you :3
